Description
This kit provides all you need aside from sewing notions, to create two quilt blocks that will be sewn into 2 small quilted Christmas wall hangings with an approximate finished size of 11.5 inches square.
One block is a Christmas tree and the other is a Sawtooth star with a Diamond center. Both are made using 2.5-inch squares with folded half-square triangles in green, ivory, and a Christmas pattern with blonde lab dogs, and red and green gifts around red wagons. Both blocks will be bordered with 2.5-inch red sashing and have a flannel batting and cotton backing. Tabs and dowels will be included for hanging each.
The following describes the fabric included in each block:
Christmas Tree block includes:
– Sixteen green 2.5-inch squares (fourteen folded and ironed into half-square triangles)
– Fourteen beige, green, and red Christmas pattern 2.5-inch squares
– One four-inch yellow circle to sew into a yo-yo or you can use a yellow or gold button
– Two 8.5-inch by 2.5-inch red cotton strips
– Two 12-inch by 2.5-inch red cotton strips
– 12.5-inch square light color flannel for the batting
– 12.5-inch square red or green cotton for the backing
– three felt tabs 1-inch by 4 inch
– 13-inch long by 1-inch wide dowel
Sawtooth Star with Diamond center block includes:
– Sixteen Ivory 2.5-inch squares
– Twelve green 2.5-inch squares (folded and ironed into half-square triangles)
– Four beige, green, and red Christmas pattern 2.5-inch squares (folded and ironed into half-square triangles)
– Two 8.5-inch by 2.5-inch red cotton strips
– Two 12-inch by 2.5-inch red cotton strips
– 12.5-inch square light color flannel for the batting
– 12.5-inch square red or green cotton for the backing
– three felt tabs 1 inch by 4 inch
– 13-inch long by 1-inch wide dowel
You will need to have your own sewing notions like pins, needles, thread, and scissors.
