13 by 50 inch Fleece Table Runner Assembly Instructions:

  1. Insert a fleece ribbon strand into eye of needle leaving a short tail (~4”).
  2. Start lacing one of the fleece triangles to the attached fleece square on side that triangles are laying on top of square. Start in top corner hole going top down with needle (next to label pointing to top corner hole) and pull through both layers of fabric leaving a 4” tail on top.
  3. Lace triangle and square pieces together with overcast stitch by pulling ribbon over top of fleece triangle and square edge and insert needle top down through the next hole repeating until lace all holes until reach next to last hole from corner.  At next to last corner hole pull the needle and thread BOTTOM UP through hole so that ribbon tail lays on top of fabric.  Then remove plastic needle.
  4. Re-lace plastic needle with new fleece ribbon and repeat steps 2-3 to lace up second triangle on opposite end to adjacent fleece square.
  5. Remove plastic clips and stickers from fleece fabric triangles.
  6. Flip the triangles so the points are facing out away from the center square(s) and turn right side over to see overcast stitch on top. (Tip – if the overcast stitch is tight and bunching you can loosen by gently pulling the triangular pieces away from the center square piece(s).)
  7. The next steps instruct how to lace up the intersections of the squares pinned together between the two triangles with one ribbon per intersection. There will be two intersections to stitch between the three squares:
  8. Insert a fleece ribbon strand into eye of needle leaving a short tail (~4”) and start overcast stitch through intersecting holes to connect the first and second adjacent squares.
  9. Go top down through all holes connecting adjacent squares until you get to next to last hole from corner.  In the next to last hole from corner, you will pull your needle and ribbon BOTTOM UP through the hole so that the tail will lay on top of the fabric.  Remove plastic needle at end.
  10. Lace new fleece ribbon through needle and repeat step 9 to connect the second adjacent square and then lace new fleece ribbon through needle again and repeat step 9 once more to connect the third adjacent square.
  11. Next lace the top side of the fleece squares with the decorative overcast stitch, starting with the topside of the left most square.
  12. Go top down with needle and new ribbon through the first open hole in the upper left side of square and pull through to bottom of fleece fabric leaving a 4” tail on top.
  13. Continue going top down through all holes until you come to the next to the last hole in the corner of the topside of square. In the next to the last corner hole, you will pull your needle and ribbon BOTTOM UP through the hole so that the tail will be on top of the fabric.  Then remove plastic needle.
  14. Re-lace plastic needle with new fleece ribbon and repeat steps 12-13 to lace up topside of second adjacent square.
  15. Re-lace plastic needle with new fleece ribbon and repeat steps 12-13 to lace up topside of the third adjacent square.
  16. Next lace the bottom side of the fleece squares with the decorative overcast stitch.  Go top down with needle and new ribbon through the first open hole in the lower left side of square and pull through to bottom of fleece fabric leaving a 4” tail on top.
  17. Continue going top down through all holes until you come to the next to the last hole in the corner of the bottom side of square. In the next to the last corner hole, you will pull your needle and ribbon BOTTOM UP through the hole so that the tail will be on top of the fabric in the corner.  Then remove plastic needle.
  18. Re-lace plastic needle with new fleece ribbon and repeat steps 16-17 to lace up bottom side of second adjacent square.
  19. Re-lace plastic needle with new fleece ribbon and repeat steps 16-17 to lace up bottom side of third adjacent square.
  20. Once you have completed lacing all sides of intersecting squares you will securely tie knots in the corners of squares where ribbon strands intersect on top of fabric. Trim tail ends of ribbon to even out as desired.
  21. This completes your project.  Admire and enjoy your beautiful table runner creation! 😄
