Description
This sewing project is a 5-inch Pet in a Pocket Pouch kit. This is a new Mitsy Kit project that I am offering to ACB and NFB crafters for 50% off as an end-of-the-year thank you from Mitsy Kit. 2) Blue and Silver Stars.
This kit helps you to create a super cute 5-inch pouch with a contrasting V-shaped pocket on the front to snuggly hold a little felt and faux suede Teddy bear – also included with the kit.
To create the pocket and pouch you will simply stitch together three sides of two 5-inch cotton squares (wrong sides out) with two half-square triangles sandwiched between them in the bottom left and bottom right corners, using a running stitch. Once sewn on all three sides you will turn the project right side out. The two half-square triangles will be overlapping each other and form a V-shaped pouch on the top of the pocket. At the center of the V-shape you will stitch on a small white floral button.
Next, you will stitch on a ribbon to the inside top left corner of the pocket that will attach a plastic hook. This will allow you to hook your little pet pouch to a bag, a belt loop, a lanyard, or wherever you can attach it to the hook.
The top sides of the five-inch squares will be pre-sewn with a folded hem and 2-inch pieces of velcro on the front and back to allow the pouch closure. The pouch can hold little essentials like keys, and credit cards, or you could even use it as a pet treat bag!
Slip your little felt and suede teddy bear behind the V-shaped pouch so that his head is peeking out as you carry him around with you!
You have two fabric options to choose from:
1) Purple butterfly: which has purple, yellow and pink butterfly sparkly fabric 5-inch squares with two yellow and white floral half-square triangles sandwiched between them,
Or
2) Blue and Silver star: which has Blue mottled 5-inch cotton squares with two blue and silver sparkly Star cotton half-square triangles sandwiched between them.
